About Amanda
I’m Amanda Quick—author of The Sex Trafficker’s Wife, TEDx speaker, and creator of Sacred Unmuting™.
I help mothers reclaim their voice when the systems designed to protect them fail.
My Story
In 2016, my husband was arrested for attempted human trafficking for trying to purchase two children for his own sexual purposes. The judicial system gave him probation and unsupervised access to our kids.
For two years, I stayed silent. I complied. I trusted the professionals, the lawyers, the system.
Until I couldn’t anymore.
When I finally saw my own children were in danger, I had to make a choice: keep complying with a system that was failing us, or become the force that changed the outcome.
I chose to fight.
I fought the legal system that protected him. I fought the professionals who told me I was overreacting. I fought the narrative that I should trust the process when the process was failing my children.
I won full custody. My children have had no contact with their father for 5+ years.
But the pattern didn’t stop there.
I’ve fought the medical system over my diabetic son’s care when doctors dismissed what I knew to be true.
I’ve fought the educational system when my child was being harmed and everyone said they were “thriving.”
Every time, I’ve had to choose: comply with systems that demand silence, or trust myself and speak the truth that saves my children.
Every time, I’ve chosen truth.
What I Do Now
I teach mothers how to do the same.
Through speaking, writing, and private work, I guide women through what I call Sacred Unmuting™—a framework for moving from collapse to voice reclamation to living as the author of your own story.
I speak virtually to conferences, organizations, and protective parent communities on:
- Voice reclamation when systems silence you
- Protective parenting in broken institutions
- Trusting yourself over experts who are wrong
I wrote a bestselling memoir that became a healing practice—not just for me, but for the women who read it and recognize themselves.
I lead private sessions for mothers in active custody battles, medical fights, or educational system conflicts who need strategy and support from someone who’s been there and won.
I write weekly at The Portal of Truth on Substack, sharing stories and practices from the Sacred Unmuting framework.
What Else You Should Know
I’m a solo parent to three kids. I homeschool, manage short-term rentals, and build businesses that support my life instead of consuming it.
I spent 20+ years in technology leadership before this work—building resilient systems at enterprise scale. Now I help women build resilient lives when the systems around them fail.
I don’t do this work because it’s easy. I do it because mothers who fight systems alone need to know: someone has been there, someone has won, and you’re not crazy.
You’re right. And I can help.
