About Amanda
I’m Amanda Quick — author, speaker, and truth-teller.
I believe the thing you’re most afraid to say is the key to the life you actually want.
My Story
In 2016, my husband was arrested for attempted human trafficking. I spent years silent — complying, trusting the process, staying small — until I realized that silence was costing me everything.
When I finally told the truth, publicly, it changed my life. My memoir, The Sex Trafficker’s Wife, became a #1 bestseller. My TEDx talk on the healing power of storytelling has reached thousands. And the thing I was most afraid to say became the foundation of everything I do now.
What I Do Now
I help people find their story — the real one, not the polished version — and find the courage to tell it.
That looks different depending on who you are and what you’re carrying. Sometimes it’s a single conversation that changes everything. Sometimes it’s showing up in a room full of people who need to hear that someone else has been through the dark and come out the other side.
I work with individuals, faith communities, and organizations that serve people in hard seasons. If you’re at a crossroads, carrying something that hasn’t been said yet, or you have a story you don’t know what to do with — this is where we start.
What Else You Should Know
I’m a solo parent to three sons in Bend, Oregon. I write on Substack at The Portal of Truth. And I’m still — right now — becoming someone I didn’t know I was allowed to be.
That’s what makes this work real.
